Two thumbs up for Mary Anne! She's my favorite book character in the world! She faces her ongoing struggle with shyness and sensitivity with a courage I really admire. Here she faces a difficult problem when Logan doen't know when to back off and tries to take over her life. I felt sorry for Mary Anne when Logan was inconsiderate enough to drop in unannounced that winter afternoon when Mary Anne was reading and pressured her into going with him to skate. I was so glad when Mary Anne finally got up the courage to break it off with him at the end. I know that must have been painful for her. The Fabulous Five could use a few lessons from Mary Anne.
