My copy of this is the 1996 1st edition version of this book with the purple background cover. It is a book in the Walter Foster How to Draw series. The books in the series are intended to help you if you already have some basic drawings skills, it is not for someone that has never drawn before. It helps to have a blue colored pencil to do these with, then when you are close to being done you define your lines with a traditional black pencil. In addition to Spidey, the book has Black Cat, Daredevil, Venom, Dr. Octopus, Lizard, Mysterio and Vulture. For Spidey it has standing poses, action poses including climbing and swinging, as well as Peter Parker. Nice book for Spiderman fans.How to Draw Spider-Man Overview
